Terms and conditions
This page is a translation; the French version is authoritative.
Version of 19 October 2026.
These general terms of use and sale are common to the whole Escouade family. They bind Ghislain Levrat, sole trader, SIREN 999 243 322, 48 rue Centrale, 69960 Corbas, France (the “Publisher”), and the company or professional that opens an Escouade account (the “Customer”).
1. What these terms cover
They apply to Escouade online: the Escouade application (CRM, Documents, Agents), its Meet, Mail, Social and Tools applications, the Escouade account, and Prescriptio when it is included in a plan. The details of the plans in force on the day of the order are on the Pricing page.
The contract also includes, with these terms: the data processing agreement, which prevails for personal data, and the list of subprocessors.
Escouade hub, the edition installed on the Customer’s own server, is not covered by them: it is governed by a licence agreement, signed before any licence is issued; Meet, Mail, Social and Tools are added to it by online subscription, under these terms. Prescriptio’s former plan, no longer sold, remains governed by the terms published on prescriptio.fr for as long as its subscription is active.
2. A service for professionals
Escouade is intended for professionals: any natural or legal person acting for the purposes of their commercial, industrial, craft, liberal or agricultural activity. By opening an account, the person signing up declares that they are acting in that capacity and have the authority to bind the Customer. The provisions of the French Consumer Code specific to consumers, including the right of withdrawal, do not apply.
Paid plans are reserved for professionals established in France. A professional established elsewhere may open a Free account; for a paid plan, they write to contact@escouade.io.
3. The account and sign-up
The Customer signs up online, at compte.escouade.io. It chooses its company in the public company register; the Publisher checks that its SIREN number exists and that the company is active. The email address of the person signing up is verified by a code. The company name and address thus pre-filled are used for the invoice; the Customer keeps them accurate.
The account belongs to the Customer. Its administrators invite users, set their access rights and choose the plan. Each user keeps their sign-in credentials to themselves; the Customer is responsible for what is done under its users’ accounts and notifies the Publisher without delay of any access it has not authorised.
4. The plans
A single plan, with no per-user price, in four sizes. Every function is in every size; from one size to the next, the number of users, the usage allowance, the storage and the support change.
Free: €0, three users. Essential: €19 excl. VAT per month, three users. Pro: €60 excl. VAT per month, unlimited users. Max: €249 excl. VAT per month, unlimited users. Document storage is 500 MB on Free, 5 GB on Essential, 20 GB on Pro and 50 GB on Max.
On Free, Meet, Mail and Social are open: the free trial’s meeting, then credits; one mailbox that receives and only writes to its user, with no sending from the Customer’s domain; one Social profile that posts. No AI is included there apart from the free trial: the chat is limited to the Fast level, without voice, and the built-in AI is paid for with credits once the trial has been used. On Free and Essential, the documentation serves as support; on Pro and Max, support is taken by the day (article 7).
5. The usage allowance and credits
Each paid size comes with a usage allowance: meetings, voice, chat questions, emails sent. The Customer follows it as a percentage, over the day and over the week, on the Usage page; meetings and voice have their own limits, emails a monthly count. The equivalents shown are indicative: each AI level consumes the allowance at its own rate, shown with the model. The Publisher may recalibrate the allowances on real usage; a reduction is announced by email at least one month before it applies, and the Customer may cancel before then.
Beyond the allowance, and only if the Customer has allowed it, credits take over. They are bought in euros, in packs of €10, €25 or €50 excl. VAT, and are valid for twelve months from their payment, for every application of the family. The price of each use in credits is shown on the Usage page before any purchase. A credit not used within twelve months is lost; credits are neither refundable nor convertible, unless the Publisher ends the contract through no fault of the Customer: their balance is then refunded.
6. The free trial
Each organisation receives a single trial, for the whole family, which is never renewed: one recorded meeting of at most two hours, around a hundred questions at the Fast level and around fifty pages read by OCR, without voice. It is tied to the company’s SIREN number and domain: a second account does not reopen a trial. An account opened without a SIREN number does not receive one.
7. Onboarding and days of service
Guided onboarding costs €600 excl. VAT, once. It is optional, but very strongly recommended for advanced use of Escouade. It covers setting up the Customer’s workspace, importing its data, connecting one mailbox and an hour of hands-on training.
Training, assistance, support for the Pro and Max sizes and configuration beyond onboarding are charged by the day, €500 excl. VAT, on a quote accepted by the Customer. Migrating data from a third-party tool is quoted separately.
8. Prices, VAT and invoices
Prices are in euros, excluding VAT. As long as the Publisher is under the VAT franchise scheme, no VAT is charged and the invoice bears the statement “TVA non applicable, article 293 B du CGI” (VAT not applicable, article 293 B of the French General Tax Code). From the day the Publisher becomes liable for it, VAT is added to the prices excluding VAT, at the rate in force, on the transactions for which it is due; the Customer is notified by email.
The Customer receives a single invoice per month for the whole family, with one line per item: the size, the credits, the onboarding, the days of service. It is issued at the start of the following month, numbered without gaps, and can be viewed and printed on the account’s Billing page. The Publisher keeps its invoices for ten years.
9. Payment
Payment goes through Mollie B.V., a payment institution in the Netherlands. The first order sets up a mandate, by card or SEPA direct debit; the Publisher neither receives nor keeps the Customer’s card or account numbers.
The size is paid in arrears: each day is worth, for a month of N days, one N-th of the monthly price of the size in force that day. The month’s invoice is collected on the mandate and payable seven days after it is issued. Credits and onboarding are paid on order.
A rejected direct debit is presented a second time three days later. Any amount unpaid when due bears, by operation of law, late-payment penalties at the European Central Bank refinancing rate plus ten percentage points, and a fixed indemnity of €40 for recovery costs (articles L441-10 and D441-5 of the French Commercial Code); no discount is granted for early payment. After a formal notice that has remained without effect for fifteen days, the Publisher may suspend the paid functions, without deleting any data; they resume as soon as payment is made. Thirty days after the suspension, it may terminate the subscription: the Customer then returns to the Free plan (article 10).
10. Term, change of size and cancellation
The subscription has no minimum term. The Customer changes size at any time from its account: the change takes effect the same day, and the invoice follows the size of each day.
Cancelling means returning to the Free plan, at any time, from the Billing page or by writing to contact@escouade.io. The days elapsed remain due, nothing else. No data is deleted: the Customer keeps its workspace, but any addition beyond the Free limits is refused. To close its account and have its data deleted, it follows article 13.
The Publisher may terminate for a serious breach by the Customer, in particular of article 11, after a formal notice that has remained without effect for fifteen days, or immediately in the event of unlawful use. It may stop providing a function or the whole service by notifying the Customer at least three months in advance; amounts paid for a period not served are then refunded.
11. Acceptable use
The Customer uses the family for its professional activity, in compliance with the law, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation and, for email prospecting, article L34-5 of the French Post and Electronic Communications Code. It is responsible for the data it imports or connects, the messages it sends, the people it writes to and what it publishes.
In particular, it undertakes to inform the participants of a meeting that it is recorded and transcribed; to respect every unsubscribe request, without circumventing it from another mailbox, domain or account; to follow Escouade Mail’s sending rules (hours, quotas, gradual ramp-up), which are part of the service; to comply with the terms of the third-party services it connects, including the social networks it publishes on; not to multiply accounts to obtain several trials or circumvent a limit; and not to attempt to access another customer’s data, to attack or overload the service, or to circumvent its call limits.
The Publisher may suspend without notice a mailbox, a function or an account whose use threatens the service, its sending reputation or third parties; it informs the Customer.
12. AI
The AI models used are named in the settings, with their origin and the place where they run. By default, they are hosted in Europe; a model of another origin is only used if the Customer expressly chooses it. The providers are on the subprocessors page.
The AI’s answers and proposals may be inaccurate. They are presented to be checked: the Customer decides what it applies, sends or publishes, and remains responsible for it. The Publisher trains no AI model with the Customer’s data.
13. The Customer’s data, export and closure
The Customer’s data belongs to it. The Publisher processes it on the Customer’s behalf, as a processor, under the data processing agreement. It only opens a session in the Customer’s workspace at the Customer’s written request, limited in time and logged, or to comply with a legal obligation.
At any time, administrators export the whole workspace: a ZIP archive of JSON files and documents, with its manifest and its notice, in an open and documented format, downloadable for seven days and which can be requested again. The same archive can be imported into Escouade hub, on the Customer’s own server.
In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2023/2854 on data (the Data Act), the Customer may at any time switch to another provider or to its own infrastructure, without switching charges. It asks for this without notice; during a transitional period of at most thirty days, the service continues and the Publisher helps it leave; its data then remains retrievable for at least thirty days, and is then erased. All the exportable data of the workspace can be transferred; secrets, such as API keys and sign-in tokens, and data internal to the operation of the service are excluded.
The Customer closes its account by writing to contact@escouade.io. Its data is then deleted at most ninety days after closure, backups included, except for invoices and accounting records, which are kept for ten years.
A Free workspace with no activity for six months receives a notice, and is then archived thirty days later if it has still not been used: its data is kept, use is suspended and its export remains available. It resumes if it moves to a paid size.
14. Availability and backups
The Publisher uses reasonable means to keep the service available, without guaranteeing uninterrupted access or an availability rate. It announces in advance, when it can, any work that interrupts the service; the status of the services can be read on the Service status page.
Data is hosted in France and backed up every day; copies are kept for fourteen days. Backups protect the service: they do not replace the exports the Customer keeps on its side.
15. Intellectual property
The family’s software and its documentation belong to the Publisher, which operates the Escouade and Prescriptio names. For the duration of its subscription, the Customer receives a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for its own needs. It refrains from copying, reselling, making it available to a third party or decompiling it, except where the law allows.
The Customer keeps all its rights in its content. It grants the Publisher only the right to host, process and display it in order to provide the service. A suggestion it sends to the Publisher may be taken up in the product, without consideration.
16. Liability
The Publisher is bound by an obligation of means. It is not liable for the unavailability of the third-party services the Customer connects, such as email, calendars, video conferencing, social networks or electronic signature, nor for the decisions the Customer takes on the basis of the AI’s proposals.
To the extent permitted by law, and except in the case of gross negligence or wilful misconduct, the Publisher’s liability, for all causes combined, is limited to direct damage and to the amounts excluding VAT paid by the Customer during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to it. It does not cover indirect damage, such as loss of business, turnover or customers. Neither party is liable for a failure due to force majeure, within the meaning of article 1218 of the French Civil Code.
17. Affiliation
A professional may become an affiliate by writing to contact@escouade.io. For each organisation attributed to it under the tracking arrangements provided when it joins, it receives 25% of the amounts excluding VAT that organisation pays for the Pro and Max sizes, during its first twelve months of payment. Nothing is due on the Essential size, credits, onboarding, days of service or Escouade hub.
The commission is calculated on the amounts actually collected, after deduction of refunds and unpaid amounts; it is paid every month, on the affiliate’s invoice. An organisation cannot be affiliated to itself, nor to an organisation it controls. A breach of these terms, or fraud, forfeits the pending commissions.
18. Changes to these terms
The Publisher may change these terms and its prices. The version in force is published at this address, with its date. The Customer is notified by email at least one month before a change applies to its subscription; if it refuses it, it cancels before that date. A price increase never applies to days already elapsed.
19. Evidence, language and governing law
The account’s records, such as the sign-up, the acceptance of these terms and of their version, the orders, the payments and the operations log, constitute evidence between the parties. These terms are written in French, which is the authoritative language; their English version is a translation.
They are governed by French law. Failing an amicable agreement, any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the Commercial Court of Lyon.
